    This five course add-on certificate allows you to supplement your current degree program and gain knowledge in an evolving and high-demand field. The Certificate in Digital Marketing will provide you with the analytical skills and tools necessary to create effective strategies, produce digital marketing content, and make data-driven decisions in digital marketing,

    This certificate also includes hands-on experience working directly with real clients. Students will work on the practical implementation of digital marketing strategies, including search engine optimization, content marketing, social media, email campaigns, and paid advertising.

    Note that this is not a direct entry program or primary program and must be taken alongside another degree or diploma program.     What is Digital Marketing?

    Digital marketing is all about using the power of digital tools and platforms to connect with people and promote customer solutions in creative ways. It includes techniques like Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to increase online visibility, content marketing to engage and inform, and social media marketing to build relationships with customers. You'll also explore digital advertising to target the right people and use analytics to optimize your strategies. With the digital landscape constantly evolving, digital marketing offers exciting opportunities for creativity and growth in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

    BUS 315 - Marketing Analytics

    This course is designed to equip students with the analytical skills and tools required to make data-driven marketing decisions. The course covers key concepts in marketing data analysis, including customer segmentation, predictive modeling, and campaign performance measurement. Students will learn how to gather, interpret, and visualize data from multiple sources, as well as how to apply statistical and machine learning techniques to solve real-world marketing problems

    BUS 317 - Digital Marketing Strategy

    This course examines leading trends in digital media and the evolving impact on marketing strategy. Focus will be placed on increasing competitiveness through optimal use of digital media tools and platforms to increase both marketing strategy effectiveness and efficiency. All “4 P’s” of on-line products, pricing models, distribution methods, and use in promotional strategy will be examined. Customer relationships, engagement, and empowerment are also considered.

    BUS 418 - Applied Digital Marketing

    This course is designed to provide students with hands-on experience working directly with real clients. Students will work with their client(s) to apply the full spectrum of digital marketing strategies and tools they have learned throughout their program. The course focuses on the practical implementation of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, content marketing, social media, email campaigns, and paid advertising.

    CTCH 306 - Digital Storytelling and Interactive Media

    This studies/studio hybrid course explores the social, political, cultural, economic, and intersectionality of interactive media and digital storytelling. We will engage with audio (audio walking tours, music recording, podcasting, radio programming) and on-line interactive and immersive storytelling (web-projects, gaming, apps).

    CTCH 316 - Designing User Experiences Through Design Thinking and Human Centred Design Methods

    Explore the five stages of design thinking to craft human-centred experiences. Learn usability, accessibility, and interaction design while mastering tools in the creative thinking process and prototyping. Through hands-on projects, you'll develop innovative workflows and strategies to create impactful, intuitive interfaces that enhance user experiences across different platforms.

    What documents does U of R require, other than the admissions application?

    The University of Regina may require official transcripts from your previous school(s). Specific document requirements depend on your educational background and the program or faculty you are applying to.
