Admission requirements
- Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an institution recognized by UVic
- Equivalent of a minimum B (5.0 GPA) average in the final two years of your degree
- Completion of a course in research design or research methods

Program specific requirements
As part of your application for the Graduate Certificate in Evaluation, you must submit:
- Names and email addresses of at least two academic referees. They may also submit a letter with the assessment to strengthen your application. If it has been over five years since you last attended a post-secondary institution, you may include three professional references from work-related supervisors instead of academic referees. Professional references will be required to submit a letter only and will not be asked to submit an assessment report. You’ll be asked for the name and email addresses of your referees during the online application process and the Graduate Admissions office will contact them.
- official copies of all post-secondary transcripts
- a current professional resumé
- any other evidence of suitability for admission that you feel is relevant (e.g., academic records from non-degree courses)
- a letter of intent explaining why you’re interested in this program and how it relates to your career plans, personal values and goals
- your official GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test) scores if you don’t have a Canadian undergraduate degree
