Overview The Translation and Interpretation program at Eastern Mediterranean University aims to provide specialised education on Turkish-English translation and interpretation with a specially designed curriculum consisting of core and general culture courses. All students are required to take a French course during their 7th term. Students can also benefit from other foreign language courses such as German, Italian, Russian or Greek. Some courses are practice-oriented, and these courses foresee the possible problems our students may encounter in their professional lives, and practical solutions to these problems are taught. Career OpportunitiesPossessing a diploma in Translation and Interpretation area is not only a privilege but also gives the candidates a strong foundation in the profession. Program graduates may pursue employment opportunities in various ministries in TRNC or TR, at international organisations such as the European Commission, international institutions such as United Nations, international companies, state offices, media and tourism sectors, banks, universities, import-export sectors and freelance translation and interpretation.
