    About

The Master of Arts in Cultural Anthropology and Cultural History is composed of two sub disciplines: Cultural Anthropology (Empirical Cultural Studies) concerns the ways of life of people, especially in their regional forms in German-speaking areas. The main focus is on the transmission of popular culture and daily life in both oral and written traditions, images, and symbols. Cultural History is the historical study of humankind and addresses European-Occidental culture, gathering insight from written sources, material relicts, images, and musical tradition.
