About Sport and Exercise Psychology MSc

The aim of the degree programme is to qualify students for national and international, research-related work in the field of sport and exercise psychology.

Students will acquire extensive expertise in sport and exercise psychology, enabling them to

plan, apply for, conduct, evaluate and interpret theory-based studies.
Accordingly, students will be able to formulate practical recommendations for action and communicate these to the respective target groups.
Students will acquire comprehensive methodological, social, and interpersonal skills forleading sport psychology consulting and team management processes in international, individual and group settings.
In addition, students will be able to communicate with stakeholders in English, in both spoken and written settings, in a manner appropriate to their field of work, to cope with intercultural communication barriers, to recognise potential conflicts, and to solve these constructively with the help of adequate communication strategies.
Students will also acquire personal and social skills to develop a sport and exercise psychology-related self-concept, subject-specific professionalism, and competence in self-management.

The Structural Chemistry and Spectroscopy programme is an international degree course taught in English. It is research-oriented, introduces advanced spectroscopic methods, and centres around the structure of chemical and biochemical molecules, especially biopolymers. The focus is on the synthesis and structure elucidation of complex structures. The aim is to enable students to think and work independently as scientists and to successfully solve problems in various scientific and technical fields. Graduates are increasingly required to assume important interdisciplinary functions in all areas of industry, business, state and society.

Bachelors degree in sport science, psychology or a related subject (e.g. kinesiology)
Knowledge of English at C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or equivalent

Proof of practical experience in the field of sport and/or (sport) psychology (if applicable)
Proof of periods abroad (if applicable).

1. Checking your documents

If you wish to participate in the German course to prepare for studying, you will need to have what is known as a“direct”higher education entrance qualification (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung, HZB),i.e.one that is valid for German universities.

2. Confirmation document

Refugees may only apply free of charge to the German course to prepare for studying if they have a document confirming that they have sought advice. This is called a Beratungsbestätigung. In order to apply, please emailus a scan of your residence title and indicate which degree programmeyou would like to study. Please note that we cannot accept any responsibility for personal documents you send to us by email. Alternatively, you can also send us a copy of your documents by post. We will then send you a personalised confirmation document, which you will need to upload when you apply.

3. Apply through uni-assist

4. Admission and entrance test

Once uni-assist has successfully checked your documents, you will receive a letter of admission forthe German course from mid-August 2021. This will be sent to you via the AlmaWeb study portal. When you have been admitted, you can expect to be invited to an entrance test in September. The course starts in October 2021.
