    About

    The course of study is divided into the basic programme of four semesters and the main programme of five semesters. The 9 and the diploma thesis conclude the programme. The basic course, which is completed with the intermediate exam, covers the following subjects: Inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, physics, mathematics, general biology, computer science, law and toxicology. 70 % of the basic course time is allocated to chemistry subjects; the remaining time is reserved for physics, mathematics, computer science and general biology. The main course conveys comprehensive knowledge in the following fields: A. Chemical, physical and and nutritional properties of food and feed B. Composition and analysis of foods of vegetable and animal origin, changes during production, processing and storage including food technology, chemistry and analysis of animal feed D. Chemistry and analysis of pollutants and contaminats, food toxicology C. Physiology and biochemistry of food and feed E. Food microbiology E. Properties and behaviour of food contact materials F. Composition and properties of cosmetics and daily necessaries; G. Laws concerning food and feed and hygiene regulations and their application.
