About Bachelor of European Studies (online)

The specialised course "European Studies" can only be chosen in combination with and in addition to the language course "Language and Society in Modern Germany". The specialised course in the afternoon takes up eight hours per week and the language course in the morning 20 hours per week. Our weekly programme will be rounded off by additional offers like seminars on German culture, an international choir, a theatre workshop, film nights, sports, and a literature cafÃ©. These additional offers amount to at least 12 hours per week. Europe is increasingly present in Germany's political and historical self-conception. This course aims to trace the contradictory development of globalisation and regionalisation from a German point of view. We will look at Europe from linguistic, political, sociological, and historical perspectives.
