About Bachelor of Autumn Course: Communication in Everyday and Academic Life

The course aims to make integration into university courses and new surroundings simpler and smoother for foreign students who have just arrived in GÃ¶ttingen. The intensive course consists of two modules: General language course (morning lessons): oral German; writing, reading, and listening comprehension; grammar main topics: introduction to everyday university scenarios and an introduction to German regional and cultural studies Introduction to communication in an academic environment (afternoon lessons): reading academically oriented texts; subject-specific vocabulary; typical grammatical phenomena of academic communication; introduction to term papers, expertises, lab reports, etc.; academic research; aural comprehension of lectures; practising presentations; class discussion topics and materials from the following areas of study: law, economics, humanities, social sciences, environmental and natural sciences
