    Topics of PhD research may be in any area covered by the research interests of the faculty of the postgraduate programme. The particular strengths of our Department of Economics lie in the fields of International Economics, Financial Economics, Econometrics, Applied Microeconomics and Decision Theory, and Environmental and Resource Economics.

    Entry Requirements

    MA or "Diplom" in economics or other related fields, such as mathematics, physics or engineering The completed studies from both the Bachelor's programme and Master's programme or "Diplom" should be worth at least 300 ECTS credit points. If no ECTS credit points were awarded, the applicant must have spent at least eight semesters studying at a German university, German university of applied sciences or comparable foreign institution of higher education.
