Requirements and Admission Criteria for PhD in Medical School at University of Limerick

Entry Requirements

Applicants will normally be expected to hold an Honours degree (minimum 2.1) or equivalent in a discipline appropriate to their area of proposed research.
Entry points may differ for applicants with postgraduate qualifications. Please contact the Course Director for further information.

English Program Requirements

The minimum requirement will be a DET score of 120 with no less than 110 in any component.
An interview may be required in conjunction with this for certain programmes.

TOEFL580 (paper based) or 90 (internet based)

IELTS

Minimum score of 6.5* with no less than 6.0 in any component.
*Please note some programmes have a higher IELTS requirement.
