    About

Nursing is the study of how to properly take care of people who are ill or disabled, recovering after a medical intervention, or suffering of old age. Nursing is a vocational subject, with a strong focus on practical experience in addition to regular Medical classes.

Nursing seeks to ask questions like: Which are the best ways to make patients comfortable and look after their health? How to take care of their physical, mental, and emotional needs? What are the best ways to support their families and friends during the recovery process?

Students can choose from different Nursing subdisciplines: Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Children Nursing, School Nursing, Learning Disabilities Nursing, Midwifery, and others.

A typical Nursing curriculum includes subjects like Clinical Health Care Ethics, Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Health Assessment, Therapeutic Nutrition, General Psychology, Intensive Therapy, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, etc.

Nursing will help you become a specialised nurse in adult nursing, children’s nursing, learning disability nursing or mental health nursing. Or you can become a paramedic or a physician associate. In time, you can use your experience to take up a more demanding position, such as chief/head nurse, and thus manage and train your own team of nurses.
