    About this programme

    Lincoln University’s Postgraduate Diploma in Parks, Recreation and Tourism develops your understanding of the parks, recreation and tourism sectors at an advanced level.

    This includes cultivating your knowledge of the behaviour of tourists and people engaging in recreation, and the strategies and methodologies of tourism and recreation service providers.

    You’ll also grow an in-depth awareness of how political systems, policy bodies, local or global economic and environmental factors can influence long term planning and business decisions in these sectors.

    When you graduate, you’ll be able to apply your understanding of the complexities and nuances of the recreation and tourism industries to planning and development tasks over a range of different levels.

    • Completion of a relevant New Zealand level 7 bachelor’s degree or recognised equivalent with a B- average or better in the 300 level and final year (full-time equivalent) courses
