    About

    What you'll study

You’ll take eight compulsory modules, covering topics such as dental healthcare policy, primary dental care, evidence-based decision making, and health systems policy and performance.

Your compulsory units also include a research skills module and a module on Leadership and Planning in Health and Public Services (run in collaboration with Queen Mary’s School of Business and Management). For this last module, you’ll complete an e-portfolio to record your leadership development.

This online learning PgDip builds on our Postgraduate Certificate course by including four additional modules that allow you to develop ‘real world’ transferable public health skills.

You’ll be studying at an internationally respected institution: we’re ranked 14th in the world for dentistry (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022). We have some of the most modern facilities in the UK: the Institute of Dentistry moved to new premises in The Royal London Hospital in 2014 – the first UK dental school to be built in 40 years.
