    About the course

    There is a growing demand for graduates able to meet the information and organisational needs of businesses. This course provides you with the academic and technical skills to interpret develop and manage information and data systems.

    With this degree you explore the information and organisation structures used in business and gain knowledge and skills in exploiting existing software alongside designing and developing information systems.

    In your first year you gain a bedrock of knowledge about databases and computer networks; the mathematics of computational thinking and data; and programming and data structures. You then develop and consolidate your understanding in areas such as data engineering retrieval and presentation; data mining; data management; systems development; and artificial intelligence.

    To apply for a place on an undergraduate course (BA/BSc) you need to have completed your high school education (12 years) and have a pass equivalent to two UK A level passes and have the required English language qualification.
