    Course overview

    At Leeds, you can study business with one of 10 foreign languages.

    During this four-year course you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of business, management, and organisational issues while developing fluency in your chosen language.

    Intensive language modules will prepare you for your year abroad, where you’ll further enhance your linguistic skills and deepen your understanding of the markets and business culture of your host country.

    You’ll combine technical expertise with an understanding of local business environments and develop your awareness of the challenges faced by organisations operating across the globe.

    You’ll be able to choose to take your Final Year Project in either business or your chosen language.

    The international outlook and knowledge you develop alongside advanced language skills will allow you to consider career options in a range of fields when you graduate.

    A-level: AAB

    • Where a post-A level language route is taken, a B grade in the relevant language is required.

    • Where Chinese or Japanese is taken, a GCSE in any modern language is required.

    • Where any other beginner language route is taken, previous experience in language is not required.

    GCSE: Maths grade 5/B is required.

    International Baccalaureate

    35 points overall with 16 at Higher Level. If you do not already meet our GCSE Maths requirements, we will also require 5 in Standard Level Maths or 4 in Higher Level Maths (we accept both Applications and Interpretation, and Analysis and Approaches).

    By taking this joint honours course, you’ll gain proficiency in one of the world’s languages and gain a broad understanding of key managerial functions. You’ll acquire the language and professional skills to prepare you for an international career in a wide range of sectors.
