    About

    This foundation year provides a supportive pathway to university study, equipping you with the essential computing knowledge, academic skills, and professional competencies needed to progress on to our Bachelor's in computer science. You’ll gain a strong foundation in programming, IT, and mathematical concepts while developing critical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities.

    Delivered through interactive workshops in small groups, the course emphasises hands-on learning with no traditional exams - assessment is based on coursework and practical tasks. With a focus on real-world applications, you’ll be fully prepared for university study and future career opportunities.

    Please note this course isn't currently open to EU or International students

    Typical offers

    • 32 tariff points at A level, or equivalent.

    You may need to have studied specific subjects or GCSEs - see full entry requirements and other qualifications we accept.

    English language requirements

    • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 5.5 with no component score below 5.5

    We also accept other standard English tests and qualifications, as long as they meet the minimum requirements of your course.

    If you don't meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme before you start your course.
