    The Post Graduate Diploma Nursing (Adult) consists of six 20 credit modules

    • Becoming and informed proficient practitioner
    • The nurse as leader, change agent and educator across care settings
    • Advancing evidence-based knowledge, skills & therapeutic interventions
    • Promoting health and preventing ill health: The nurse as an informed professional
    • Assessment, evidenced based care and evaluation
    • Developing proficiency to inform decision making in the practice environment

    Academic Qualifications

    • Students who have completed a 4 year Bachelor degree (60% overall or a GPA of 2.5 or above on the scale of 4, 4 being the highest) can be considered for entry onto a relevant postgraduate programme of study.
    • Applicants with other relevant qualifications or work experience may be considered on a case by case basis.

    English Program Requirements

    English Qualifications

    Proficiency in English is essential for undergraduate and postgraduate study. The University of South Wales recognises the following English Language qualifications:

    • GCSE/O Level English at grade C or above
    • IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 with at least a 5.5 in each component.

    Please note that some courses may require a higher level of English language proficiency than the University’s standard requirements. Please see the course page for further information.
