Requirements and Admission Criteria for Social Anthropology PhD at University of Sussex

Entry Requirements

Masters degree requirementYou’re normally expected to have the equivalent of a UK Masters degree, which will mean having completed some academic study beyond your Bachelors degree.Undergraduate degree requirementBachelors degree with a CGPA of 3.5/5.0 or 3/4.0.Subject-specific requirementsYour qualification should be in anthropology or a closely-related subject area. In exceptional circumstances, you may be considered for the degree if you have a qualification in a different subject area. You may also be considered for the degree if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing. We also offer a Doctoral pathway which incorporates the MSc in Social Research Methods or further specialist research training modules within Year 1 for those without the required research training.
