The International Business (BSBA) degree at Appalachian State University provides students a sound understanding of international business principles coupled with language training (Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish or other approved language) and first-hand international experience. The major is cross-disciplinary, leveraging expert faculty from all functional areas of the Walker College of Business to teach and mentor students in the program. Students who choose this major generally are interested in working with people from other cultures and in gaining a global perspective of how business works across cultures. Those considering this program should possess leadership, communication and human relations skills, as well as openness to other cultures and a desire to travel.
