Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behavior. Students who choose Appalachian State University's Psychology (BS) - Business degree are typically interested in applying their degree toward graduate study in industrial-organizational psychology, or use their degree for employment in human resources and the corporate world of business using their writing, critical thinking and data analytic skills.
You will have the opportunity to learn from faculty in the Department of Psychology and faculty in the Walker College of Business who are expert researchers and teachers, since class requirements include courses from both areas. Students often graduate with a business minor. Students also participate with faculty in research projects and are encouraged to pursue an internship or a service-learning course using psychological principles to serve citizens in our local community.
