Overview Central Michigan University’s Master of Arts in Electronic Media Production is one of few programs in the country that teaches students advanced audio and video production skills along with traditionally-focused theoretical coursework. This program is designed for students who wish to teach electronic media production at a university or community college, oversee a campus media outlet as a university staffer, or work in the electronic media industry doing audio and/or video production.Research Opportunities and AssistantshipsCMU's program offers several graduate assistantship opportunities for incoming graduate students. Currently 16 students receive full funding as teaching graduate assistants in the Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts program. Graduate assistants receive opportunities to teach laboratory sections, assist professors with classroom teaching and work directly with students via co-curricular organizations.
