Corporate Communication and Business Dual Degree
The Palumbo-Donahue School of Business MBA/MA in Communication prepares you with the managerial acumen to become an effective communicator in the workplace. Administered with the Graduate School of Liberal Arts, you will uniquely position yourself for a leadership career.
As a student in this dual program, you will be immersed in studies that combine two distinct fields, providing you with a well-rounded understanding of both communication principles and business practices.
You will focus on the development and execution of effective communication strategies within organizations, including such finer areas of study such as crisis communication, stakeholder engagement and media relations. You'll explore the fundamentals of marketing, including market research and product development, while also studying the psychology and sociology of organizations and various marketplaces.
You'll become an expert in financial principles, including financial analysis, budgeting and investment strategies, and explore case studies of the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including advertising, public relations and digital marketing.
On top of Duquesne's strong liberal arts foundation, you will build the skills needed to succeed in a variety of roles in the wider worlds of corporate communications and business.
A combined 72 credits for these two degrees (30 credits for the MA in Communication and 42 credits for the MBA) is reduced to 60 credits through credit-sharing.
