Students are also required to complete an internship or a practicum course to hone practical legal skills. Such opportunities abound in every aspect of environmental and energy law, including options in private firms and energy companies. Congress, courts, governmental agencies, international organizations such as the World Bank, UNEP, and other non-governmental organizations are all nearby. Also, the Georgetown Climate Center gives students the chance to work on cutting edge climate and energy policy issues.
