    Entry Requirements

Dual B.A. in Art (Art History Concentration) / M.A. in Art History The department offers a dual bachelor of arts degree with an Art History concentration and master of arts degree in Art History. The dual-degree opportunity enables qualified students to enroll in graduate courses late in their undergraduate program and apply the coursework toward the bachelors and masters programs. Students must be accepted into the dual-degree program by the school and College of the Arts to be able to take graduate courses as an undergraduate. Acceptance into the dual program does not constitute admission to the masters program. Students must fulfill regular graduate admissions requirements and apply for the masters program following the colleges processes, though GRE scores are not required for admission into the M.A. in Art History if applying through the dual-degree program. Students accepted into the masters program via the dual-degree program are only allowed to pursue the non-thesis track. Information about the dual program, including application instructions and program requirements, can be found here. Admission Requirements To be considered for this program, students should be in their junior (third) year of undergraduate work and have an overall Institutional GPA of 3.5. They should already have completed AH 3000 and at least two AH courses at the 4000 level. Application to the program involves completing a personal statement of goals and interests for enrollment in the dual-degree program. Application Process Students seeking to apply for a dual undergraduate/graduate program should carefully review the specific program requirements in the undergraduate catalog. Those eligible to apply should complete the dual-degree application and submit it to the College of The Arts (Suite 990, 55 Park Place). A summary of these processes is on the dual degree website.
