Illinois Techs Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering/Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering accelerated master's program allows students the opportunity to pursue advanced studies in environmental engineering while completing both degrees in as few as five years.
Students will build a basic foundation in chemical engineering during the undergraduate portion of this program and prepare for advanced environmental engineering work in the fourth year.
Combined with our Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineerings mixed-media program, students will gain experience within environmental engineering fields, including air quality engineering, and hazardous waste engineering and management.
Coursework may include chemodynamics, environmental chemistry, and hazardous waste engineering.

Entry Requirements
Students applying to the accelerated masters program must have completed at least 60 credit hours with at least one full semester (12 credit hours) of applicable undergraduate study at the university.
Students must be at least one full semester (12 credit hours) away from undergraduate degree completion in order to apply.
Applicants are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; however, please consult individual departments for specific minimum GPA requirements.

- Residents of a country where English is the only official language and who is a native English speaker
- Graduates of U.S. high schools
- Completed the equivalent of Iowa State’s English 150 or 250 with a grade of B or better at an accredited U.S. 2 year or 4 year college or university.
CONDITIONAL ADMISSION
If you meet all admission requirements but do not meet our English proficiency requirements, Iowa State offers conditional admission to attend our Intensive English and Orientation Program (IEOP).
