Overview The Dietetics major at IUB is a didactic program which prepares students to apply for the 1,200 hour internship and pass the board examination necessary to become a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist (RDN). (note: graduating with the degree in Dietetics does not suffice to become an RDN, you must complete a rigorous internship and pass the board examination after graduating from the program at IUB). Many courses in this major are offered only in Fall or Spring semesters and have one or more pre-requisite courses, so planning and sequencing of these courses is very prescriptive, so meet frequently with your academic advisor to ensure you are on track for timely graduation.
