The Bachelor of Architecture program at KSU is a 5-year NAAB accredited, professional degree in architecture, that meets the education requirement for architecture licensure.

The architecture degree is centered on a ten-semester studio sequence that proceeds from the fundamentals of architectural design, through the technical aspects of building and comprehensive design, to investigations of the urban condition.

The program culminates in the Fifth-Year Thesis–an exploration of architecture as a form of design research. Reinforcing the studios are sequences in design communication, architecture history and theory, structures, environmental technology, and professional practice. Collectively, they provide the holistic understanding of the design process necessary for the production of functional and meaningful architecture

A portfolio review and evaluation is mandatory for all students seeking to enter the upper division of the BARCH program. Students must successfully pass the Portfolio and Progression Evaluation

Join the state's largest architecture program to earn your Bachelor of Architecture degree. The B.Arch is a NAAB accredited, professional degree that prepares you for a career in architecture and design. In this program you will learn architectural design in a hands-on studio environment with leading experts in the profession. Major courses begin in the first semester and continue through the five-year curriculum for this degree, culminating in a student-driven research thesis.

First-Year Student Announcement:

First-year students applying to Kennesaw State University for the Summer, and Fall 2023 semesters may be admitted without an ACT or SAT score if they have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
