As an exercise science major, you'll learn through hands-on experiences in laboratory, community and healthcare settings. The Exercise Science degree is a diversified program that provides both introductory and advanced coursework, laboratory experiences and the opportunity for practical application of knowledge through community and research-based experiences.

You can also continue through postgraduate study in exercise science or other health-related disciplines, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and medical programs. The Exercise Science degree will also prepare you for professional certifications through the American College of Sports Medicine, National Strength and Conditioning Associate and International Society for Sports Nutrition.

The Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree includes introductory and advanced coursework, lab work and hands-on learning experiences to prepare competent entry-level Exercise Science professionals in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (abilities) learning domains. The program can also be used as pre-professional preparation for post-graduate study in exercise science or other health-related disciplines including physical therapy, occupational therapy and medical programs.

First-Year Student Announcement:

First-year students applying to Kennesaw State University for the Summer, and Fall 2023 semesters may be admitted without an ACT or SAT score if they have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
