Mechanical engineering requires training in basic science and engineering principles along with the development of skills in the areas of computer-aided design, instrumentation, planning and management of design projects. Graduates will be required to master technical elements and demonstrate competence in the areas of communication, fiscal management and project control.

First-year students applying to Kennesaw State University for the Summer, and Fall 2023 semesters may be admitted without an ACT or SAT score if they have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
