The Music Education division of the School of Music at Kennesaw State University in Georgia is committed to creating leading music educators. As a Music Education student, you'll work with professors who have either university or public school experience in over ten states. Our faculty features specialists and mentors in Choral, General, Instrumental, and Orchestra education.

The KSU music education major is a professional degree, which means that, upon successful completion of degree requirements and tests, you'll receive a Georgia teaching license and be certified to teach grades K-12.

The faculty and staff are here to support and assist you in making your experience individualized and meaningful for a long career. The Bachelor's in Music Education degree is designed to prepare music teachers at all grade levels. You will audition for placement into one of four music education concentrations (General Music, Choral, Band, and Orchestra), and the program leads to a teaching license in Georgia.

Graduation from high school with GPA of 2.5 with qualifying SAT/ACT test scores

(If educated outside of the United States, the required official evaluation

First-Year Student Announcement:

First-year students applying to Kennesaw State University for the Summer, and Fall 2023 semesters may be admitted without an ACT or SAT score if they have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
