About Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science

In the Medical Laboratory Science option at Montana State, students are prepared for a career in clinical laboratory science by taking coursework in a range of medically-oriented fields including immunology, medical bacteriology, virology, parasitology, hematology, mycology and chemistry. Depending on the student's needs, the Medical Laboratory Science program offers two plans for students to complete the program. Once training is complete, Medical Laboratory Science students will be qualified to take a national registry exam and become certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.

The Microbiology major at Montana State offers five additional Options Within the Major: General Microbiology, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Veterinary, Environmental Microbiology and Environmental Health.

Please note that students who are conditionally admitted will not be considered for scholarships until they are fully admitted and fulfill the English Proficiency Requirement. Students completing Interlink should contact OIP to request a review of their application during the final weeks of Interlink's classes for scholarship eligibility.
Submit your transcripts. If you are applying as a freshman, please send us your high school transcript. If you are applying as a transfer student, please submit transcripts for all post-secondary coursework completed. Please be sure to send the front and back of your transcripts.
