Overview

Ohio University's Bachelor of Applied Human and Consumer Sciences in Human Services equips you with the skills required to serve clients in a variety of public outreach organizations.

The degree provides a path to advancement in social services and other public health roles. You will enhance your leadership and problem-solving skills for work with the elderly, youth, adolescent populations, job and family services, substance abuse treatment and mental health centers, and corrections facilities.

Entry Requirements

Admission to the program as a freshman applicant requires successful attainment of a high school diploma, state-recognized high school equivalent or GED.
Transfer applicants must have a cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 or higher from all institutions previously attended to be considered for admission. If you have completed fewer than 20 semester hours or 30 quarter hours of university or college coursework, you must also submit your high school transcript for evaluation.

Have completed the equivalent of Ohio University's English 1510: Writing and Rhetoric I (Freshman Composition) with a grade of C or better. Course equivalency will be determined during the application process.
