Bachelor of Music at Oregon State University

This program provides a music studies preparation for students interested in music applications outside of music education, pedagogy, and performance. It is also designed for those students interested in a double major, combining music skills and knowledge with other areas, such as engineering, business, biological sciences, pre-law, or other disciplines where music studies would augment their specific professional or graduate school pathway. The program provides core courses in music theory, and music history and culture, while allowing the student flexibility in choosing electives that most benefit their specific specialization and career goals. The degree includes one option in Music Production, a 24-credit program for students interested in music applications involving music technology, production, and recording and editing. Completion of the program will be possible from courses offered at the Corvallis campus, although some online courses may be used to satisfy requirements.
