The Graduate Certificate in Futures Thinking and Foresight Practice offers students and experienced professionals the opportunity to deepen their understanding of futures thinking and foresight practice to positively impact a highly volatile and complex change landscape recently referred to as "post-normal times." This interdisciplinary 18-credit learning experience includes focus on technological change, climate change, geo-political shifts and such topics as the future of work, food, learning and more.
Our graduate certificate engages a cross-disciplinary array of students and returning professionals to learn about and practice futures thinking and foresight practice. Our shared goal is to build a better future together and navigate the complex times in which we live and work.
We do this by imagining and exploring possible futures, engaging a rigorous ethical and anti-racist lens, rejecting pre-determined futures in favor of those collectively created, and using foresight skills and tools to inform more expansive and future-ready strategies. This certificate is for anyone that wants to gain skills in individual, organizational and/or community foresight practice.
