The Department of Health and Kinesiology is dedicated to enhancing basic and applied knowledge that fosters human well-being. The department offers two degree programs: Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).

The MS program is a flexible degree program that allows students to pursue in-depth study in areas corresponding to faculty expertise. The PhD program is designed to produce independent scholars capable of enhancing knowledge and effectively communicating that knowledge. Traditional areas of study in the MS and PhD programs include: athletic training, biomechanics, motor control and development, exercise physiology, exercise psychology, and recreation and sport management.
