The Certificate of Graduate Study (COGS) in Creative Writing will provide students with the opportunity to develop their voice, literary vision, and individual style through workshop settings. Students will learn to engage in a process of composition that, when combined with the development of a critical vocabulary, allows them to give, receive, and use criticism in their revisions. College Transcript and Copy of Original Degree – If you have completed more than one degree, all academic credentials should be submitted. Additionally, if your document is not translated to English a certified English translation is required.
Standardized English language test score – a TOEFL minimum score of 70, IELTS minimum score of 6.0, PTE minimum score of 50 or Duolingo test minimum score of 120 for traditional admissions.

Recommendations – a minimum of 2 are required for Master’s programs, and a minimum of 3 are required for Doctoral (Ph.D.) programs.
Statement of professional objectives – Provide reasons for pursuing the program applied. Describe how you will use this program to reach your career goes, and educational goals beyond the master’s level if applicable. Students should also identify personal qualities that they want the committee to see in them, such as leadership, concerns for others, talent, etc.
