The Certificate of Graduate Study in Urban Health Disparities provides a sequence of courses for those who wish to work in a variety of settings, geared toward community health advocacy and leadership or other positions in non-profit organizations, hospitals, business, community health organizations, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, research and advocacy groups, faith-based institutions, and educational institutions. The program's focus on health care inequity, health care access, and social justice issues will enhance students' marketability for leadership positions in organizations seeking individuals with social action and community-health knowledge.
