Our M.A. in School Administration positions graduates as collaborative leaders in a P-12 learning organization. This part-time program offers convenience for working professionals and meets the requirements established by the New Jersey Department of Education for state certification as a public school administrator. It also includes the courses required for Supervisor Certification and Principal Certification.

Students who successfully complete the program will be recommended by Rowan University to the state of NJ for both certifications, provided that the additional requirements for Principal Certification are met.

College Transcript and Copy of Original Degree – If you have completed more than one degree, all academic credentials should be submitted. Additionally, if your document is not translated to English a certified English translation is required.
Standardized English language test score – a TOEFL minimum score of 70, IELTS minimum score of 6.0, PTE minimum score of 50 or Duolingo test minimum score of 120 for traditional admissions.

Professional resume/CV
Recommendations – a minimum of 2 are required for Master’s programs, and a minimum of 3 are required for Doctoral (Ph.D.) programs.
Statement of professional objectives – Provide reasons for pursuing the program applied. Describe how you will use this program to reach your career goes, and educational goals beyond the master’s level if applicable. Students should also identify personal qualities that they want the committee to see in them, such as leadership, concerns for others, talent, etc.
