About

Overview The Sport and Exercise Science program's Seattle University classroom experience is grounded in themes of evidence-based practice, professional skill-building, and community engagement. Required internships encourage students to reflect on and apply the knowledge they gain at Seattle U, and the Human Performance Lab exposes students to multiple types of research equipment.Empowering leadership through exercise is central to the BS, Kinesiology degree, and we are committed to students’ professional formation. Students who complete the degree will take on employment in community, clinical, industry, and medical settings. The Kinesiology Department from Seattle University motto is “Exercise for life, exercise for everyone,” and our coursework is focused on improving the health of individuals and communities through exercise. The Sport and Exercise Science curriculum builds on foundational knowledge and theory in topics of exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor control, and exercise psychology.
