We train students in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and offer courses in the areas of health, aging, and the life course; globalization, immigration, and transnational studies; family, education, and work; and power, capital, and culture.The undergraduate major in Sociology is designed to provide students with both a broad introduction to the field and an opportunity for concentration within the specialty areas of the department.
