The program's curriculum integrates a conservatory approach so you study the advanced techniques and pedagogy necessary for a career in opera or voice, or to play in an orchestra or symphony.

You can choose from instrumental disciplines such as brass, cello, classical guitar, double bass, historical keyboard instruments, opera, percussion, piano, viola, violin and woodwinds, as well as opera or voice. Refine your musicianship, and understand the demands and requirements of a career in music. You'll collaborate with other students as part of your ensemble experience with coursework that includes electives in music theory, music history or performance practice. University degree requiring four years of study.

International degrees must be assessed for equivalency with a U.S. degree based on the characteristics of the national educational system, the type of institution attended and the level of studies completed. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is ordinarily required for admissions consideration. If unofficial transcripts are submitted during the application process, submission of official academic records will be required by the end of your first term of graduate study if you are admitted and subsequently enroll at Temple University.
