    About

People of all ages need mental health professionals like you to help them through a variety of issues. In this program, we can prepare you to offer counseling, therapy, and other services that can be critical to improving a person's state of mind.

To begin, you'll take core courses such as Introduction to Psychology as well as Abnormal Psychology. Then you'll choose two electives for your specialty from a list that includes Medical Psychology, Clinical Child Psychology, Contemporary Issues in Psychology, Motivation and Emotion, and Psychotherapy and Behavior Change. Before you graduate, you'll complete a community-based practicum in psychology providing real-world career experience. By the time you've earned your certificate, we will have helped prepare you to offer professional counseling services or to pursue another degree in the field of mental health.
