This program allows eligible students enrolled in the Sustainable Built Environments (SBE) or Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) degree programs to begin working toward a second professional degree, a Master of Science in Urban Planning (MSUP), as early as the fourth or fifth year. The MSUP can usually be completed within two semesters of attaining the B.Arch or SBE degree.
Subsequent to being admitted to the Accelerated Master's Program, SBE or B.Arch students in their fourth and/or fifth years begin to take graduate courses in the MSUP program curriculum. Twelve of the graduate units earned may be used to count toward both degrees.
