About Secondary Education (MED) - Alternative Certification

The M.Ed. Secondary Education Alternative Certification pathway provides individuals interested in becoming teachers the opportunity to teach full-time while pursuing their certification and masters degree. In this two-year professional program, students will meet certification requirements and earn a Master's in Secondary Education while they teach in middle schools and high schools that are part of the UA South Borderlands Consortium.

GPA of 3.0 on upper and lower division coursework toward the Bachelor's Degree (or the most recently completed 60 units)

Documented proof of application for Fingerprint Clearance Card from the Arizona Department of Public Safety
