Entry Requirements

Admissions Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in Nursing degree

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Degree awarded from a regionally accredited institution

Work Experience

At least one year of experience in position requiring RN license post last nursing degree
Preferred: One or more years' experience in ANCC recognized nursing leadership position
- ANCC recognized nursing leadership positions include: nurse manager, supervisor, director, assistant director or faculty position teaching graduate students, nursing administration, or nursing management consultant.

RN Licensure

Enrollment in the DNP program requires registered nurse licensure. Admission is conditional upon the individual obtaining and maintaining the license in active and good standing.

Standardized Tests

We do not require any standardized tests for admission to the DNP Program.

Funding Opportunities

Students in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program are eligible for university and college funding. All students are encouraged to file an updated FAFSA form each year. The College of Nursing awards internal scholarships on a rolling basis each spring to currently admitted students.

Admissions Deadlines

Applications for the Executive Health Systems Leadership specialty must be submitted by October 31st 2021 to be considered for the first admission cycle for Fall 2022 cohort.
