    Overview Students of the English - Literature program of The University of Toledo will learn how to engage in the critical conversation of research and scholarship in English literary studies; and will improve their ability to analyze, explicate, and criticize literary works.Graduate classes are small and opportunities for multi-disciplinary and independent study are available. Our literature faculty are dedicated teachers, active researchers, theorists, and writers, with areas of expertise in British, American, and Anglophone literatures, cultural studies, feminism, sexuality and gender studies, comparative literature, theory, and creative writing. Our students come to UT to improve their professional credentials in teaching, publishing, and journalism, to better prepare themselves for PhD programs, and also for personal satisfaction and development.
