First-year graduate students participate in a 100-hour pre-practicum that includes a focus on culturally responsive practice. Each EdS student completes an additional 400-hour practicum and 1,200-hour internship. Pathway to licensure. Because the UToledo program is NASP-approved, EdS graduates scoring above a certain level on the Praxis[Symbol] II test are automatically eligible to apply to be a nationally certified school psychologist in Ohio. Collaborative faculty and student research. Present or publish research findings at state or national conferences.  100% job placement. For more than 14 years, every student who completes UToledo's school psychology Ed.S. program has found a job after graduation. Graduate assistantships. A limited number of graduate assistantships are available within UToledo’s School of Intervention and Wellness. School psychology students also have secured graduate assistantships on campus in the Counseling Center, TRIO program and Office of Residence Life.  Accredited. UToledo's school psychology program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation and approved by the National Association of School Psychologists. Get involved and network. Join the UToledo School Psychology Student Organization and attend the UToledo Annual School Psychology Summer Institute, as well as a professional conference. Funds are available to help with fees and travel.  Career OpportunitiesDuring the past 14 years, every graduate of UToledo's school psychology graduate program has found work in the field. This is a true testament to how well we prepare our students to serve as compassionate, culturally aware school psychologists.  Our graduates work as licensed school psychologists and administrators. Some have pursued doctoral degrees.
    The School Psychology program of The University of Toledo offers master of arts and education specialist degrees. Our program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
