Graduates of the Health Leadership Post Baccalaureate Certificate (PBC) program pursue careers in a broad range of health care and public health fields. Through this unique course of study you'll gain leadership skills and knowledge that will give you a competitive edge in the health marketplace.

The 12-unit program consists of four graduate level courses: three required courses plus any 3 unit 500-600 level HLTH, HCMN, or IDHP course. The Health Leadership PBC can be completed in nine to 15 months on a part-time or full-time basis.

Start with the PBC, Build to a Master's

Units earned from the Health Leadership PBC can be applied to the Master's degree in Health Science. Build your resume by earning both degrees at once.

Please note: Students in the PBC program who decide to pursue the Master's will need to apply and meet all Health Science M.S. admission requirements.

Current Health Science M.S. Students: Add the Health Leadership PBC

Students enrolled in the Health Science M.S. program can earn this PBC by choosing the required Health Leadership courses as some of their electives. This way they can graduate with both the Master's and the PBC.

Please note: Even students admitted into the Health Science M.S. program need to submit a separate application to the Health Leadership PBC program in order to earn the additional credential.

Pre-degree students must make sure their transcript includes all grades from the first semester of their senior year.

Some programs require letters of recommendation as part of the application process. If the program for which you are applying requires letters of recommendation, you must enter the email address of each recommender in order to successfully submit your application. An email will be sent directly to your references asking them to complete an online recommendation.

Additional requirements for international applicants.

International students are required to be enrolled full-time in graduate degree programs at Towson University. Review the list of graduate programs that meet F1/JI requirements. In addition, international applicants may be required to provide proof of English-language proficiency and a course-by-course credential evaluation.

Note: Students who have completed a degree in the U.S. will qualify for English Proficiency without submitting additional test scores.
