The Computer Technology Endorsement offers licensed educators, in the State of Ohio, the opportunity to gain insight into and practice the necessary skills to create meaningful, engaging, digital learning experiences current for today's classrooms. Having this computer technology teaching endorsement alongside one's teaching credential allows educators additional career opportunities where an understanding of and practice with educational technology integration is required.
This endorsement consists of 15-credit hours and takes one full academic year at a part-time status to complete. Some of the courses offered in this program are:
- Applications and Issues of Teaching with Technology
- Applications of Design in eLearning
- Innovation and Technology Integration
These courses are also offered in our Master of Education in Instructional Design and Technology graduate program and our Blended Online Learning and Teaching (BOLT) graduate certificate.
This certificate also consists of professional experience in the field. During course IDT 7180: Learning Technology Professional Experience, students work 7-8 hours per week in a school, non-profit organization, or corporation to gain real-world experience in the field of Instructional Design and Technology.
