The Graduate Certificate in Operations Excellence is designed to give students in-depth expertise in the functional areas of a business related to operations planning and execution. This includes issues such as supply chain management, supplier sourcing, staff scheduling, inventory reduction, quality initiatives, cost control and project management. The certificate in Operations Excellence is offered through the Department of Operations & Business Analytics in the Carl H Lindner College of Business. Students will work closely with faculty experts in operations management and business analytics. This certificate has been developed in conjunction with leading Cincinnati-area companies to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to allow graduates to succeed in business. Students who complete the certificate in Operations Excellence will be well positioned to improve existing business processes, reduce costs and increase efficiencies. The certificate in Operations Excellence can be completed in one calendar year and requires 12 quarter-credit hours. These credit hours include a core course in operations management and then a flexible choice of 8 credit hours of advanced electives.
